First of let me say this is a DRAWING, not a trace or manipulation, or anything like that.
But of course, I used a reference picture: [link]
Credit for picture goes to the makers of Avatar.

Anyway;
I saw Avatar on Christmas and I haven't stopped talking about it, I think its the best movie I've ever seen. So I decided to draw Neytiri cus she is so pretty.

I am very proud but, OMG this took me FOREVER, aka about 4 1/2 hours. I started getting lazy with the accessories and especially the hair. I HATE drawing braids so I doodled it, it actually took me a long time but it doesn't look like it at all.
My favorite part was the eyes, they were so fun, I had to control myself to not make her eyelashes to long, cus when I did it looked funny, but I love drawing big lashes with big eyes.
Another thing that was hard was her stripes, I redrew most of them at least 5 times each.
I didn't even have to use the smudge tool once, I made sure to blend the colors as much as possible, the only other drawing I've ever done that I didn't blend the colors was the Lady Gaga, and this is SO much more detailed! I think am really getting better at portraits :)

This is amazingly done.
I dont know whether to laugh or cry when I use several weeks to properly create a line drawing and see someone makes a fantastic peice like this and calls 4 and a half hour "forever".
Well again truly splendid.

And haha sorry, I am not a patient person. And I think line art can sometimes be harder than painting style. Its much more difficult on the computer.
And you should be proud that you are a perfectionist :) i wish I didn't get so lazy xD
